The Newman Center

Our wedding ceremony will take place at the St. Thomas More Catholic Newman Center located at 1612 E 2nd Street, Tucson, AZ 85719. The ceremony will begin at 2:30 in the afternoon, and will be officiated by Fr. Daniel Rolland.

The Newman Center is located on the University of Arizona campus, and over the years has become a very important part of Robet's life. He greatly enjoys volunteering his talents to the church by being the sound engineer for two of the Newman Center's Sunday masses. Over the last year, Anya has enjoyed being a part of the Newman Center comunity with Robert. Robert and Anya are looking foreward to commiting to each other and starting their family in this wonderful community.

    From the Viscount Suite Hotel to the Newman Center:

  1. Start out going WEST on BROADWAY BLVD (toward SWAN RD)
  2. Turn RIGHT (NORTH) onto CAMPBELL AVE
  3. Turn LEFT (WEST) onto SPEEDWAY BLVD
  4. Turn LEFT (SOUTH) onto CHERRY AVE
  5. Turn LEFT (EAST) onto 2ND ST
  6. End at 1615 E 2ND ST TUCSON AZ

    From the Tucson International Airport to the Newman Center

  1. Take TUCSON BLVD NORTH
  2. Turn Slight LEFT onto BENSON HWY
  3. Turn Slight RIGTH onto KINO PKWY
  4. Follow the road, as KINO will turns into CAMPBELL AVE
  5. Turn LEFT (WEST) onto SPEEDWAY BLVD
  6. Turn LEFT (SOUTH) onto CHERRY AVE
  7. Turn LEFT (EAST) onto 2ND ST
  8. End at 1615 E 2ND ST TUCSON AZ

    From Phoenix to the Newman Center

  1. Take I-10 towards Tucson
  2. Take Exit-257 onto SPEEDWAY BLVD/UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA
  3. Turn LEFT (EAST) onto SPEEDWAY BLVD
  4. Turn RIGHT (SOUTH) onto CHERRY AVE
  5. Turn LEFT (EAST) onto 2ND ST
  6. End at 1615 E 2ND ST TUCSON AZ

On the weekends, metered parking is free on the University of Arizona campus. Therefore, if you find street metered parking close to the Newman Center, feel free to take it. If not, please use the map as a guide for parking.
We suggest you use the parking lot behind the Newman Center. It is the closest to the church, and the easiest to get to. This large parking lot is adjacent to the Noth side of the church, with access from 1st St. Since 1st and 2nd street are one-way streets, the best way to get to the parking lot is as follows:

  1. Once you are on 2nd Street, drive past the Newman Center
  2. Turn LEFT (NORTH) on Warren Ave. (The street imediately East of the Newman Center)
  3. Turn LEFT (WEST) on 1st Street. (The street imediately North of the Newman Center)
  4. Turn LEFT (SOUTH) in to the large parking lot between Warren Ave and Cherry Ave.
